First of all-can you believe it is already August 20th? Where has the month gone???
Second of all-I need to show these because I think they are so beautiful. Chris brought these to the airport when I got back from Italy. They are my favorite! How cute?!? Thanks Chris!

And finally-third of all-We finally went to the grocery store on Monday so now I have a packed fridge. It feels so good to have food in the apartment again. Time to get CREATIVE!

P.s. I never drink those Mikes Hard Lemonades in the back. They are from a party I had a while ago, and I never got rid of them.
With all that said and done, this morning I overslept, but my body really needed it. I have been so sleep deprived since about a week before I left for Italy, and I am finally caught up on everything! My blog, expenses, and anything else I was dealing with that was causing me to stay up late and get up early. I felt so discombobulated for about 2 weeks and it feels so good to get back into the swing of things. Can you tell I’m a very organized person? This morning I took in the warm air and took advantage of sleeping in. Boy did it feel great!
I brought my breakfast to work and had a blueberry yogurt and some fruit. Peaches at Safeway right now are so ripe and juicy. I couldn’t believe it..very good for American fruit.

I also had my breakfast with some coffee, but I drank the coffee on the way to work since there was a lot of traffic, and I started to get hungry.
I started feeling jittery a few hours later so I decided it would be a good time to have lunch. Today was a montage of things, but I thought I did well to incorporate all food groups.

Lunch was 1 1/2 C leftover Organic whole wheat pasta with Sun dried tomato pasta sauce, 1 green pepper, 1 piece of lunch meat turkey, and a 1/4 C white beans.

I topped it off with one of my favorite spices from New Orleans. It give the food so much flavor with out any salt. I also like this particular one because there are hot peppers in it.

After I heated everything up, it still needed something so I added just a LITTLE cheese to the green peppers. This was EXACTLY what the dish needed.

I tried to eat slow because it seemed like a big lunch, but it was so good I finished the whole thing. At least I’m full now right? I’ve noticed that ever since I got back from Italy all my food tastes so bland. They really do season their food well in Europe. I try to stay away from salt, but I hate eating bland food!
What are your favorite low sodium seasonings to help boost the flavor of your food?
