EXERCISE BACKGROUND:

Along with blogging about food, wine, and traveling, I like to blog about how I incorporate all of that into a healthy lifestyle. As I said in the Food Section I am recently interested in how to maintain a healthy balance in my life, and for me that includes exercise. I have always worked out–mainly running–to stay in shape. In high school I ran competitively, and was actually very good at it. I also love to dance, and play most sports even though I am not very good at some of them.

Before starting the blog I never really raced besides my cross country during my high school days. In 2006 I did, however, walk in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer with my mom. I never really thought anything of it at the time, but looking back, this was such an inspirational walk, and it meant so much to be able to do it with my mom. We completed the 26.2 miles in one day, and I felt so good when we crossed the Finish Line. To raise money for such a great cause and be able to walk 26 plus miles was a huge accomplishment for me. I hope to continue to participate in more walks and races like this in the future.

In college I gained the Freshman 15 20, and it has taken me a while to lose it, but I am officially maintaining a healthy weight. In doing this I have become more interested in running, exercising, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle-hence the blog!

This blog will include my adventures in working out, and staying fit. I try to run at least 4-5 days a week, and I love participating in races. Along with running I hope to include strength training, yoga, biking, and swimming into my exercise regimen.

Feel free to check out my Amazon Store for all my favorite Workout DVD’s and Yoga DVD’s as well as running accessories. I try to update the store regularly to make sure all the items I use day to day are on there just for you. Click HERE to Shop.

I love any activity outdoors, and I try to stay as active as possible when the weather permits. Whether it be biking, playing tennis, volleyball, or even just taking a walk, I love to do it.
